What are cookies?

A cookie is a small file that a website transfers to the browser's cookie file on your computer's hard disk so that the website can remember who you are. We use these to help you navigate our website efficiently and perform certain functions. We will not use cookies to store any personally identifiable information about you.

Session cookies

Session cookies let us see which parts of our website you viewed during your visit. This way, we can adjust our service following your surfing behavior. Session cookies are automatically deleted once you close your web browser.

Google Analytics with anonymized IP

Via our website, a cookie from the American company Google is installed as part of the “Analytics” service. We use this service to track and report how visitors use the website. This integration of Google Analytics anonymizes your IP address. It means that your IP address will only be processed by EU or ECC Member States of the European Union in shortened form. Only in exceptional cases will the complete IP address be forwarded to a Google server in the US to be abbreviated there. At no time is the full IP address written to disk, as all anonymization happens in memory nearly instantaneously after the request has been received.

The information is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google has complied with the Safe Harbor principles and is affiliated with the Safe Harbor program of the American Department of Trade. It means that a suitable level of protection governs the processing of personal details.
