Symbolism behind the design
The award policy of the Dutch Jewish Humanitarian Fund is based on the principles of human rights and tzedakah.
In Jewish tradition, tzedakah is not a privilege but a moral obligation to establish a just society. This concept is rooted in the admonition from Leviticus 19:9: “thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field,” leaving them instead for those in need.
Our logo features a rectangle with a cut-off corner, serving as a constant reminder of this ancient call, symbolizing our commitment to these enduring values.
