Ronny Naftaniel played a significant role in the establishment of the JHF, having been closely involved in the negotiations on Jewish war claims in the Netherlands. He went on to serve as chairman of the board for 14 years.
In recognition of his important contribution to both the JHF and the broader Jewish community, the Ronny Naftaniel Lecture was established in 2016. This biennial event features prominent speakers from various fields, honoring Naftaniel's lasting dedication to Jewish life.
